And now we return to regularly scheduled posting… Bucket list post #12

The absence over the last few weeks is due to it being the end of the semester and having a million and one things to do. I’ll be back to regular posting next week. (And have a few more images to show, too). This time it’s “Attend Tornoto Internatonal Film Festival“. This takes place every year in September and looks incredible. I’m trying to convince myself that going next summer is a good idea…  The films that won awards at this year’s festival are here. Their Youtube channel page is here, where you can watch trailers and previews.

Have you ever been? Did you like it? Would you go again?

Friday post series #10

Something a little different this week… instead of posting an “I want to do that” kind of post, I’m sharing my “21 Before 22” list. It’s kind of like those “30 Before 30” lists I’ve seen on a lot of other blogs. If this one doesn’t work out (I’m 22 on the 10th of April, 2013), I’m going to transfer these goals and make a 30 Before 30 list instead (seems more do-able;)).

So here goes:

1. Create an inspiration board / mood board. (Already kind of started, I’m collecting inspiring things from magazines and things & keeping them in a file).

2. Create an inspiring studio space. (Ideally this would be a film production studio too, but one can dream ;))

3. Discover new artists / bands

4. Project 365. (Don’t think this is going to get done, I’m bad with that kind of thing)

5. Shoot videos / photos for money. (I gotta eat ;))

6. Make business cards (This has been on my “Future” to-do list for so long…)

7. Start video blogging. (Not so sure about this one, I hate the sound of my own voice….)

8. Design my dream wardrobe

9. Have a mother / daughter day. (Will probably happen at the weekend, so that’s pretty easy)

10. Have a solo exhibition / group exhibition (will happen in February, all going to plan, so eeek)

11. Hang my own photos (Will also probably happen in February)

12. Start graphic design properly

13. Learn CS5 Design Standard. (Getting there…)

14. Cover my bedroom walls in photos

15. Shoot all my camera film (So many rolls….)

16. Make business goals

17. Buy a new camera

18. Start practicing guitar again

19. Make enough money to live comfortably

20. Update CV regularly / keep current

21. Start putting myself forward for projects (need to get over my shyness…)

So, do you have any lists like this? What are some of your goals? Do you keep a long-term list or a weekly list? Let me know in the comments

Bucket list post #9

Apologies for the lack of posting, I had trouble with my iMac last week and then I was sick for a few days this week but I’ll get back to regular posting from now on! I also made a tumblr so go check that out. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it yet but I’ll figure it out. On to this post: number nine in my bucket list series: photograph the illuminated Eiffel Tower. Everyone should visit Paris at some point in their lives, it’s just one of those iconic cities that everyone should see (also the subject of that incredible Woody Allen film: Midnight In Paris). I’ve been to Paris once before but that was when I wasn’t that much into photography so I didn’t take any photos, I was also very young so I think my dad was in charge of photo-taking duties. I’m looking to go to Paris for Paris Photo in November (if I can get someone to go with!). I’ll get to photograph the Eiffel Tower soon!

Friday post series #8: bucket list

Apologies for not posting yesterday, I was out all day. I know that’s no excuse, I’ve missed days before but I think I’ve been pretty good with this, so I should be forgiven :P.
This week on my bucket list post series it’s “complete a photography course”. This will be pretty easy, seeing as I’m interviewing for a photography course in two weeks (I still need a portfolio, eek). But I think I’m pretty confident about it so this might actually get done much sooner than I thought!

Have you ever done a photography course? What did you think?

Friday post series #7: bucket list

This week on the bucket list series, post 5, it’s “get something pierced”. I already have eight ear piercings (and one tattoo, but that’s another story ;)). I got my lobes pierced first when I was 15 and then just went from there. I got my cartilage pierced on the top of my right ear and after a bad breakup I wanted a change so I pierced each lobe twice more. My boyfriend paid for my scaffold piercing for my 20th birthday (the first of my birthdays we were together). I’m currently stretching out (gauging) my innermost lobe piercings.
Anyway, on to the actual post… I want to get my nose pierced. I think everyone should get SOMETHING pierced at some stage, even if it’s just your lobes once, they look great and you can just take them out if you’re sick of them. I just think nose piercings look great, you can have a ring in them or a stud, which is more conservative. (I don’t think my mother would be very pleased with me though!).

Do you have any piercings? If so, where? Do you like them? Do you think piercings are tacky?

Friday post series #5: bucket list

This week its visit the Church and Dominican Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. I’ve been to Milan before and I absolutely loved it so this will be a welcome trip! This is the monastery where Leonardo Di Vinci painted The Last Supper. Definitely one to keep on the bucket list until I go!

Friday post series: #4: bucket list

So this week it’s “Bake 10 types of cupcakes“. I’ve never even baked ONE type so this will be hard! The last time I tried to bake cupcakes, they turned out horribly wrong.

So here’s the list:

1. Vanilla

2. Chocolate

3. Peanut butter (yes, that’s a thing ;))

4. Strawberry

5. Red Velvet

6. Pumpkin (really want to try this!)

7. Banana

8. Mocha / coffee

9. Tiramisu

10. Lemon

Friday post series #3: bucket list

So the third thing on my bucket list is “build a bookcase”. I love having things that I can say I’ve made myself and bookcase really seems like the perfect thing: it’s something I’ve made myself and it holds books (something I’m obsessed with).

Judging by my lack of handyman skills this will take FOREVER to actually come to fruition so for now here’s some pretty bookcases to give me some inspiration.
