The Reality Principle, was a multi-layered group show exhibiting works by artists Lizzie Masterton, Tarryn Williams and Messua Poulin Wolff. Originally a psychoanalytic concept devised by Freud, we re-appropriated this term in order to juxtapose current feminist issues and the woman as an abstract thinker.
At the private view, Masterton performed her piece Viscid Lip Trip; a solo performance art piece, which explores queer BDSM desire and the shadow of trauma through ritual, spoken word and sound. Aisling Keavey also ran a reading group on Saturday, exploring We Should All Be Feminisists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
